Paint by numbers - Craft Ease

Craft Ease reached out to me and asked, if I would like to get one of their Paint by Numbers kits. I agreed and choose "The Hours on Jackson Square" 30x50 cm on canvas. I received it pretty quickly, which was great!

Craft Ease works with independent artists to licence their work and has a huge selection of original artwork from variety of artists. They also offer Diamond Paintings and you can also turn your own photos and art into custom paint by numbers kit (this could be the perfect gift for a couple who is getting married).

On the back of the box you will see what the box contain and how to set up your painting station.

The cool thing about this box is you can set it up as an easel. The top of the box folds over and becomes a stand for your painting. Instructions how to do this are inside the box.

I think this is a great idea if you don't have an easel.

When I opened the box and I saw all the tiny numbers, I will admit, I was very overwhelmed! But once you start, you don't want to stop! :)

The first thing you need to do is to match the numbers with the paint codes. After you do that, you're ready to paint!

The paint is very creamy, and the dark paint covers nicely the numbers on the canvas, but the lighter ones need to coats to cover the numbers. And a little goes along way, so you don't need to use a lot. The paintbrushes are not the best, but they do the job.

My strategy for this painting was to start with the top left corner, I think it's just easier to start at the top and keep going down. This part took me between 1.5h - 2h.

Painting this is so therapeutic! Can't wait to see the final result. Stay tuned!
