3 Lessons I've learned as an artist
The lessons I've learned as an artist may not be the same for everyone, but these few lessons were the hardest for me to learn.

1. Be unique - in your own way.
Artistic creativity is a beautiful thing. It not only changes the world, but it changes you, the artist. In order to find your own artistic voice and be unique in your own way, you will need to try something that you never tried before and create from within yourself.
We should never copy others’ work. It is best to be unique, to try new things and to create your own imagination.

2. Don't compare yourself to others.
I'm very guilty of this, I used to compare myself to other successful artists who seemed to have everything figure it out. But then, I reminded myself I'm not them and, I'm creating my own art journey.
As artists, we should not compare our work to others. We need to have the freedom to explore and have the courage to fail.

3. Create what makes you happy.
I have learned that it's important to find what you love and do it. I have also learned that, if you're not happy, then doing anything for the rest of your life has no point. Life is too short not to be happy.
I have learned that if you try to please everyone else, you will never be happy. You will always feel like there is always something more you need to do to please someone and you will never be able to express yourself in your own way.

Painting, drawing or any kind of creativity is about having fun and opening up your imagination. It’s about allowing yourself the freedom of expression and creativity - even if the idea isn't perfect!
and lastly, remember...
NO ONE ELSE IS YOU!
Hope this helps.
